I am pleased to be here today and to jointly mark the 15th anniversary of the German-Kosovar cooperation, a jubilee which marks the most important chapter of the close friendship which our two nations have built for many decades.

Honourable Ambassadors of the Kosovo’s amicable countries,
Honourable Citizens,
I am pleased to be here today and to jointly mark the 15th anniversary of the German-Kosovar cooperation, a jubilee which marks the most important chapter of the close friendship which our two nations have built for many decades.
15 years ago the unsparing support of the amicable German nation laid the foundations for the vision of a Kosovo in peace and freedom, a democratic state of Kosovo as a democratic state and equal within the family of free nations, thus becoming a crucial ally and a strategic partner of the citizens of Kosovo and of the advancement of their state.
On each step of the consolidation of our statehood, of the consolidation of our international subjectivity, of the building of a state with endless opportunities for all citizens regardless, help and support received from our German friends has played an essential role.
Therefore, as we mark our joint achievements and successes during these last 15 years, I would like to express to you the deepest gratitude of the citizens and institutions of Kosovo for standing side by side with us and for believing in our vision of liberty and peace.
Institutions of Kosovo today, 15 years after the ending of the war which left behind grave consequences, remain dedicated to looking ahead towards future, to undertaking of all the necessary reforms required for building of a state of law where rule of law and order prevails and an economically developed state which offers prosperity and wealth to its citizens.
I highly praise the contribution which German help and its many programs for peace, security and development continue to provide to the development of the future of Kosovo and building of an all inclusive society which offers equal opportunities to all citizens, regardless of their ethnicity, religion of gender.
Referring to one of the latest campaigns, part of German-Kosovar cooperation which promotes equal access to women in property and financial sources, is “ for our own benefit”, to build a society and a state in which each citizen is offered equal opportunities.
Honourable participants,
Kosovo remains determined on its irreversible path towards Euro-Atlantic integrations and playing of its role as a factor of peace and stability in the region, taking upon itself all obligations as an equal member in the international arena.
We are dedicated to overcome the challenges which we face led by democratic principles and faith in the values of the state which we want to build. I am convinced that on this journey, the American and German people and states will continue to stand allways next to us, as unrelentless freinds of our state.
I would like to thank all representatives of the German state in Kosovo, who with their dedication and work have contributed and continue to contribute to building of the state of Kosovo.
On behalf of all the institutions of Kosovo, on behalf of the citizens of Kosovo, congratulations of this 15th anniversary; I am convinced that we will celebrate the friendship of Kosovar and German people for many more years to come.
