On the occasion of the 6th of May, the Day of Gorani in Kosovo, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, has congratulated this community. In the telegram of congratulation it reads:
Honored members of the Gorani community in the Republic of Kosovo,
I wish that this day of your community to be passed in a gracefully celebration throughout the territory of the Republic, wherever you are.
The day of the Gorans, on the memorial holiday calendar, proves that the Republic of Kosovo is a civic country which respects the human rights and freedoms as well as of all the communities and a country where each community cultivates freely its language, culture and tradition . The value of our joint country is the construction of mutual respect and trust for a better future.
The institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and I as President of the country, are committed to the creation of all conditions for a dignified life for all the citizens of our state without distinction and that their rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution are fully respected.
I congratulate You on the Memorial Day of the Gorani community in the Republic of Kosovo with a desire to spend it as good as possible with your families and friends.
