The President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu, received a letter of congratulation on the occasion of the second anniversary of Republic of Kosovo’s independence from the President of Germany, Mr. Horst Köhler. Below you may read letter’s contents:

Mr. President
I wish to convey to You and the people of your country my heartfelt congratulation on the occasion of the second anniversary of Republic of Kosovo’s independence.
Last year Kosovo made a major headway in terms of its economic stability and development of domestic and foreign policies. Kosovo’s accession to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank and conduct of peaceful municipal elections constitute accomplishments which, I believe, will be followed by other achievements.
In terms of further reforms in Kosovo and its efforts to come closer to the Euro-Atlantic community, I wish Your country much strength and belief in the future. As it was the case so far, Germany will do its utmost to support Kosovo in this course.
