President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi met today with the rector and the deans of Gjilan’s “Kadri Zeka” University, whom he thanked for their work in the emancipation and creation of new academic staff in this region of Kosovo.
“You have had my support since the establishment of the university. The role of the University of Gjilan is crucial in education and creating cadres in Anamorave region and beyond. We highly estimate the progress you have made”, President Thaçi said.
Meanwhile, the rector of the University of Gjilan, Bajram Kosumi said that the academic staff is being completed, while the number of students is around five thousand.
“Students from the University of Prishtina and the region are returning to Gjilan, which indicates the increased quality of our institution”, he said.
President Thaçi, the rector and deans of the University of Gjilan also discussed the need to expand the existing university space, which would directly improve overall quality of the institution.
