Prishtina, July 5th, 2016 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr visited the Islamic Community of Kosovo, where he was hosted by Mufti Naim Ternava.
President Thaçi conveyed his best wishes to all citizens of the Islamic faith and called for strengthening interfaith harmony.
“It is with great pleasure for me today as the country’s president to extend Mufti Tërnava, the Islamic Community and all Muslims my best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. It is a holiday of prayer, solidarity, respect, understanding and tolerance between people. The presence of many guests visits Mufti Ternava at the Islamic Community shows that this holiday is a feat of unity, regardless of religion, ethnicity or party affiliation. Everybody all the people present in this house of God have come to convey their messages of congratulations”, President Thaçi said.
