Prishtina, January 14, 2016 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has declared that the entrance in the north of a train with Serbian nationalist posters which are in contradiction to the Constitution and laws of Kosovo is totally unacceptable.
He has said that this train is the next provocation from Serbia and the Kosovo authorities must take the necessary legal actions to stop it immediately.
The full statement of President Thaçi:
Kosovo respects the freedom of movement of people and goods. But the entrance of a train wrapped in nationalist posters from Serbia, which are in contradiction to the Constitution and laws of Kosovo, is totally unacceptable.
Moreover, on this train there are passengers and senior Serbian officials who do not have permission to enter Kosovo according to the procedures in force.
Therefore, whatever is illegal and violates the state sovereignty of Kosovo, must be prevented. This train is the next provocation and the Kosovo authorities must take the necessary legal actions to stop it immediately.
