President Thaçi: The KSF, indicator of the character of the state and societyPrishtina, September 28, 2016 The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, took part today in the inauguration of the Centre for Search and Rescue of the KSF, in the village of Pomozotin, Fushe Kosova.
President Thaçi said that the opening of this center is one of the next achievements of the Security Force of Kosovo and that this force increasingly is being strengthened in terms of the maintenance of operational capacities, of the readiness to support the institutions, communities, NGOs and of the cooperation with our partners.
The cooperation with our strategic partners, with the United States of America, particularly with the Iowa National Guard, with NATO and KFOR, is reflected every day in the establishment, strengthening and modernization of the KSF, said President Thaçi.
Emergency interventions of the KSF, whether in Kosovo or the region, according to President Thaçi, have shown best how prepared its members are, being it in the operational aspect, and also in the psychological and moral aspect.
Some of the cadets of the KSF are showing excellent results in the most prestigious military academies in the world and this is an indicator how many talented people, how many young men and women are interested to be put in service of the country in the segment of security and defense, said President Thaçi.
Referring to the involvement of the members of all communities, with an advanced gender composition, President Thaçi said that the Kosovo Security Force is the best indicator of the character of the state and of our society.
The KSF is a reflection of the values of our society. The KSF is Kosovos future army, he said.
On behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, President Thaçi also thanked the governments of the countries that have contributed to the raising, the professionalism and to the logistical capacities of the Centre for Search and Rescue of the KSF.
At the official opening of this center participated the Minister of the KSF, Haki Demolli, the KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama, the KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo, numerous members of the diplomatic corps, MPs and other state officials.
