Pristina, December 07 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Salameh Hammad.
At the meeting they discussed about the cooperation between the two countries in the field of security and about the possibility of the intensification of exchange of experiences in this sector.
President Thaçi emphasized that the two countries share the same values, but also the risks, which are associated with threats of terrorist groups.
“Your risks are our risks. Therefore, we should extend our cooperation at all levels of security”, said the President.
On the other hand, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Salameh Hammad, has conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
He has said that good relations between King Abdullah and President Thaçi is reflected in the good relations between the two countries at all institutional levels.
Minister Hammad has emphasized that from the visit to Kosovo many concrete proposals for cooperation between all security bodies have emerged.
President Thaçi has thanked Jordan for the support it has given to Kosovo in the process of recognition and membership in international organizations.
Minister Hammad, on behalf of King Abdullah II, has invited President Thaçi to visit Jordan at the beginning of next year.
