The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has sent a congratulatory telegram to his Albanian counterpart, Ilir Meta, on Flag Day and the 106th anniversary of Albania’s Independence.
On the 106th anniversary of its independence, President Thaçi has said that Albania is on the right path towards the deepening of the Euro-Atlantic integrations, as a NATO member state, in good neighborly relations with the surrounding countries and with a clear perspective towards EU integration.

His Excellency, Mr. Ilir Meta, President of the Republic of Albania,
Honoured President Meta,
On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and on my behalf I express my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the Flag Day, on the 106th anniversary of the Independence of Albania.
The Flag Day is one of the grandest feasts in the modern history of the Albanian nation, which is celebrated with pride and dignity by all of our compatriots everywhere in the Albanian lands and in the world as well.
In the process of the creation of the Albanian state an extraordinary contribution has also been given by patriots from Kosovo, in the well-known uprisings headed by historical personalities, such as Hasan Prishtina, Isa Boletini and many others.
On the 106th anniversary of its independence, Albania is on the right path towards the deepening of Euro-Atlantic integrations, as a NATO member state, in good neighborly relations with the surrounding countries and with a clear perspective towards EU integration.
Kosovo and its citizens are very pleased with all the achievements of the Albanian state.
I wish for Albania to mark progress in all fields, both in the economic and diplomatic fields, and in the field of our cultural integrations.
