Prishtina, February 13th 2018 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, and the US Ambassador Philip S. Kosnett, at their regular daily meeting today discussed various subjects of mutual interest.
President Thaçi stated that friendship with USA is eternal and essential to the realisation of our strategic aims for integration into Euro-Atlantic structures. .
“Kosovo and the United States of America share common values and aims. On this occasion, our common aim is to build viable peace and stability in Kosovo and in the region, as precondition for the development and prosperity of our country. The key to peace is the achievement of a final, comprehensive peace agreement between Kosovo and Serbia”, said President Thaçi.
President Thaçi and Ambassador Kosnett agreed that it is vital to dispel with all the obstacles for the continuation of the dialogue with Serbia and to the opening of the way to the agreement with Serbia.
“Partnership and friendship with the United States of America is vital to Kosovo. Kosovo has reached this far owing to the comprehensive support of the United States”, pointed out President Thaçi.
