Prishtina, February 23, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today a delegation of the representatives of the Montenegrin community in Kosovo.
President Thaçi stressed that Kosovo is the home of the members of all communities living in it.
“The Montenegrin community in Kosovo will be recognized by the Constitution as well and will have a seat in the Assembly of Kosovo”, said President Thaçi.
Whereas, the President of the Association of Montenegrins in Kosovo, Slobodan Vujićić, informed President Thaçi about the Strategy for Affirmation and Integration of the Montenegrin community in Kosovo.
“This strategy is ready and will now be sent to the Government of Kosovo for approval, in order to begin the implementation of the strategy action plan”, said Vujićić.
The Head of State has welcomed the completion of work on the strategy and has expressed the support for its implementation.
President Thaçi stressed that with Montenegro and the Montenegrin community in Kosovo we have the best possible relations.
