President Thaçi received the credential letters of the new Ambassador of Canada

Prishtina, February 18 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the credential letters of the new Ambassador of Canada, non-resident for Kosovo, Alan Bowman.

President Thaçi while congratulating Ambassador Bowman on his new assignment, expressed the gratitude of the institutions of Kosovo for the support Canada has granted to the state of Kosovo.

“Canada has always supported us, especially in the last three decades, by accepting refugees during the war and contributing to NATO, helping peace and reconstruction, and now supporting us in the international consolidation of the state”, President Thaçi said.

Ambassador Bowman said that Canada supports Kosovo and its efforts for peace and stability, as well as the Euro-Atlantic future of Kosovo and the entire region.

President Thaçi concluded that Canada is Kosovo’s strategic partner and called for further deepening of cooperation between the two countries.
