Prishtina, February 7th 2020 – President of the country Hashim Thaçi, proclaimed today the date of the extraordinary elections for the mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva.
The extraordinary elections for Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva shall be held on March 15th 2020.
President Thaçi instructed the Central Electoral Commission to undertake all the necessary actions for the organization and holding of the elections for Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, in accordance with his decision and the laws in force.
The Presidential decision also states that In accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 06/L-092 on allocation for use and exchange of Municipal immovable property (OG No. 10, April 03, 2019), the Municipal Assembly and the Executive of the Municipality of Podujeva cannot make any decisions related to the allocation for use and exchange of Municipal immovable property from the day of the announcement of the extraordinary elections for Mayor of Podujeva.
