Drenas, November 28, 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, attended today the inauguration of the statues of the heroes Shaban, Hamëz and Adem Jashari in Drenas.
President Thaçi said that on the Independence Day of Albania, the National Flag Day, the birthday of the legendary Commander Adem Jashari, the public appearance of the Kosovo Liberation Army, our entire commitment to liberate the country has been sublimated.
“Today, the Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci Square has become even more grandiose with the inauguration of the statue of Shaban Jashari, Hamëz Jashari and Adem Jashari. Today, this square of the figures of our comrades, Ilaz, Rasim, Bedri, is being fortified and glorified”, he said.
The Head of State has emphasized that today this square is being glorified and is sending the message of the placing of the emblems of the Kosovo Liberation Army, of the freedom and independence of Kosovo and the message of national unification of the figures of uncle Shaban, Hamëz and Adem.
“The emblems of the KLA, the identity and pride of the Albanian nation are being placed on this square. The statues of remembrance of the nation’s pride are being placed, but first of all, of the message for the secure future of the state of Kosovo and the Albanian nation”, said President Thaçi.
Prior to the inauguration of the statues of Shaban, Hamëz and Adem Jashari in Drenas, President Thaçi also paid tribute at the “Adem Jashari” memorial complex in Prekaz.
