President Thaçi met with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk

New York – President of the Republic of Kosovo, accompanied by the Prime Minster Ramush Haradinaj and deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli, met with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk.

President Thaçi thanked President Tusk for the support he has given to Kosovo in the last few years, by supporting the EU enlargement and opening of the European perspective to the countries of western Balkans.

“As the most pro-European state, Kosovo, as well as other countries of the region, require clarity and a new dynamic in the European Union integrations process” , said the President.

He also added that citizens of Kosovo need to become part of the mobility in Europe, through visa liberalisation and participation in the European market.

Visa liberalisation process, fulfilment of reforms and the final stage of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and the achievement of a final and legally binding agreement were also discussed at the meeting.
