President Thaçi met with King Abdullah II of Jordan, receives support on INTERPOL

New York – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, who is heading the Kosovo delegation at the UN General Assembly’s annual session in New York, met today also with King Abdullah II of Jordan.

On this occasion, President Thaçi expressed his gratitude to Jordan for the continued support for strengthening Kosovo’s statehood through increasing the number of recognitions and membership into international organizations.
President Thaçi and King Abdullah II of Jordan also talked about the possibility of increasing economic cooperation, trade exchange, cooperation in the security field and increasing cooperation in other areas as well.
“Kosovo needs Jordan’s support to accomplish membership into Interpol, but also to lobby in various countries to increase the number of recognitions for Kosovo”, said President Thaçi.
On the other hand, King Abdullah II of Jordan has emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo can count on Jordan’s support for Kosovo’s membership in international organizations.
President Thaçi is expected to have many other meetings with leaders of different world countries during the day.
