President Thaçi met the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic

New York, September 25th 2018– President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, while attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York, had a number of meetings with heads of states from around the world.

At the UN building, President Thaçi had a meeting with the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, with whom he discussed the expansion of bilateral relations, increase of the trade exchange and the support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integrations.
 
President Thaçi stated that Kosovo is grateful to Croatia for its exceptional help to Kosovo’s state-building, strengthening of democracy and ensuring a safe future on the Euro-Atlantic path, especially towards EU and NATO.
 
“To us, Croatia, as an EU and NATO member state, and as one of the main regional actors, is a partner of Kosovo, in service to the strengthening of the stability and peace in the region. We share common viewpoints on the developments in the region and we have a traditional partnership”, said the president.
 
Both presidents also discussed the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Kosovo and the final stage of the dialogue on normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
 
President Thaçi will continue to meet with the representatives of the different states, aiming the advancement of bilateral cooperation, expansion of the number of recognitions and membership in international organisations.
