New York, September 20, 2017 – The Head of the delegation of Kosovo, the President of the Republic, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, met with Ameenah Gurib, President of the island state of Mauritius, a state that has not recognized Kosovo’s independence
The Head of State requested recognition from this state and said that Kosovo is strengthening its international subjectivity, has increased efforts for new recognitions and for membership of the country into various international organizations.
President Thaçi emphasized that even within the International Organization of La Francophonie, members of which are Kosovo and Mauritius, contacts between the two states will intensify and that Kosovo is interested in establishing diplomatic relations with Mauritius.
