President Thaçi is received by the Governor of Iowa, expresses satisfaction with the cooperation

Des Moines, Iowa, USA, September 19 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, was received today by the Governor of the state of Iowa, Kimberly Kim Reynolds, at the Iowa State Headquarters. On this occasion, he expressed the satisfaction with the deepening of cooperation between our two states.

“I am happy that we are part of the ‘Sister States’ program and that this program is contributing to the deepening of cooperation between Kosovo and Iowa”, said President Thaçi.

According to him, this cooperation has been also extended to other areas of cooperation, which will help increase the economic exchange between the states.

“We have good cooperation in the field of security between the Iowa National Guard and the KSF, but also in the field of education and renewable energy. But I am particularly happy with the ‘Women in Energy’ program that will prepare students from Kosovo to take on key roles in the energy sector in Kosovo”, stated President Thaçi said.

On the other hand, Governor Kim Reynolds expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the relations between Kosovo and Iowa.

President Thaçi said that Kosovo is well aware of the support that Iowa has given and the closeness between the two states has made the two people feel like a family.
