Skopje, May 12, 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has participated in the inauguration of the new President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski.
President Thaçi, after congratulating President Pendarovski on his taking office, has invited him to work together to deepen regional cooperation.
“I congratulate the elected President of North Macedonia and the citizens of North Macedonia on the taking office of the President formally. I welcome the cooperation towards the Euro-Atlantic integration of our countries”, said President Thaçi.
President Thaçi has invited the new President, Pendarovski, for an official visit to Kosovo.
At the inauguration ceremony, President Thaçi also met with President Ilir Meta of Albania, President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria, President Aleksandar Vućiq of Serbia and senior officials of other states that attended the reception organized in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia. In all these meetings the need for good relations and neighborly cooperation to accelerate the integration of the entire region into the European Union was emphasized.
