Prishtina, December 24, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, attended the solemn reception organized by the Bishop of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji, on the occassion of the Christmas holiday.
“Christmas is the feast of peace and love, joy and happiness”, said President Thaçi at the reception in the Residence of the Eparchy of the St. Teresa Cathedral in Prishtina.
“In Kosovo we have been tested many times, but we always came out victorious”, said President Thaçi.
“But, we have triumphed, because we have had faith, in ourselves, in the values to which we have been committed, for which we have sacrificed ourselves, for which we have fought”, he added.
President Thaçi has said that “even today our faith fluctuates when rumors spread faster than ever, when the bad word does not allow the truth to be heard”.
“Today it is important not to lose the faith”, invited President Thaçi.
“The faith that Kosovo is our common home, that we are building a good home for all. Therefore, inviting for trust and not for doubt, for devotion and not for departure, for union and not for disruption, I wish you all peace, love, kindness, in your lives, in your families”, wished President Thaçi.
