These elections have added to the positive image of other elections that were organized after the war in Kosovo and have, once again, proved Kosovo’s vision to promote the highest values of democracy.
Dear citizens of Republic of Kosovo,
This Sunday, on December 13, the second round of mayoral elections will be held in 21 municipalities of Republic of Kosovo. This will conclude the first municipal elections that followed the independence of our country.
These elections are of a special importance to the Republic of Kosovo, because they are organized by our institutions, with an international monitoring and support.
On November 15, Kosovo has successfully overcome a great challenge and the credit for this is well-earned by all the people that were involved in the process, by all citizens, regardless of their ethnic background, by political entities and other institutions that were engaged in preparing and ensuring a successful conduct of the first municipal elections held in our sovereign and independent state.
These elections have added to the positive image of other elections that were organized after the war in Kosovo and have, once again, proved Kosovo’s vision to promote the highest values of democracy.
Therefore, in my capacity as a President, I invite you to come out and vote this Sunday and to determine, by your own votes, who is going to lead your municipalities in the next four years.
By voting you will exert a direct influence on the quality of governance and life in your municipalities!
