New York, 19 September 2010. – In a special event for Africa staged by the Cinema for Peace Foundation, President Sejdiu has met with the President of Rwanda, His Excellency Mr. Paul Kagame, and other leaders and ministers present. President Sejdiu repeated his request for recognition of Republic of Kosovo during the discussion with President Kagame too.
“Kosovo and Rwanda have experienced bloody histories and genocide upon their people, so they understand each other very well and need each other’s support”, President Sejdiu.
Therefore, President Sejdiu added, we expect from Rwanda to support the people of Kosovo and their right to live in freedom and independence, after all the horrors that they have experienced.
