The President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, through a letter sent to President Thaçi, congratulated Kosovo on the 11th Anniversary of Independence.
“I wish You personally, the state authorities and all the citizens of Kosovo, a Happy Independence Day! Acknowledgment to all the visionaries and heroes who fought, sacrificed, and worked for independent Kosovo!”, it is said in President Meta’s letter.
President Meta has expressed his belief that this marked day will inspire more effort, more unity and more devotion to consolidate the state institutions, for a more prosperous and European Kosovo that strengthens the security and stability in our region.

Honourable Mr. President, Hashim Thaçi
The celebration of the 11th anniversary of the Independence Day of Kosovo gives me the very special opportunity and pleasure to express, on my behalf and on behalf of all the Albanian citizens, the most heartfelt and brotherly congratulations.
I wish You personally, the state authorities and all the citizens of Kosovo, a Happy Independence Day! Acknowledgment to all the visionaries and heroes who fought, sacrificed, and worked for independent Kosovo!
I am confident that this marked day will inspire more effort, more unity and more devotion to consolidate the state institutions, a more prosperous and European Kosovo that strengthens the security and stability in our region.
The very good experience we have and the common will to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation, at the expense of the best national and European values, commit us to work harder in all the fields. Let our fraternal cooperation become an example guiding the model of relations in the region
