President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Atifete Jahjaga was received today at the Prime Minister’s Office by the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, after the unveiling of the statue of the patriot Hasan Prishtina, in Tirana.
President Jahjaga and Prime Minister Berisha emphasized the importance of the honouring of the Albanian activists, patriots and intellectuals, the esteemed individuals of the Albanian Nation. Both interlocutors stated that on the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Albania, it is important that honouring of the great individuals of our history has a particular significance as it re-establishes the historic truth upon all of those that contributed towards the creation of the state and strengthening of the Albanian nation.
President Jahjaga said that bones of Hasan Prishtina and of all patriots and activists from Kosovo will be returned to the homeland.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Atifete Jahjaga, during her stay in Tirana had a working lunch with the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr Bujar Nishani, and also visited the National History Museum where the sword and the shield of Scanderbeg are being displayed on the honour of the 100th Independence Anniversary.
