President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga received today for a meeting a delegation from Turkey, chaired By the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek.
President Jahjaga said that today’s meeting has its own symbolism as it is being held on a very important day for Kosovo, on the day when the supervision of its independence is brought to end.
President Jahjaga emphasized that Kosovo has proven that it is a contributor of peace and stability in the region and further afield. She also stated that even after the supervision of the independence ends, challenges remain, on overcoming of which Republic of Kosovo needs further support of its friends, especially that of Turkey, who has, for decades, supported Kosovo in its most important moments, by offering not just political but also economic and military help.
Finance Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek confirmed the continuation of the support for Kosovo, especially in the field of lobbying with the Middle Eastern States.
