President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Minister for European Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr Nicolai Wamman.
President Jahjaga and minister Wamman discussed the cooperation between the two countries, democratic processes that Kosovo is going through, expansion of internal reforms related to the Euro-Atlantic integrations, as well as the dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia, facilitated by EU.
President Jahjaga emphasized the importance of the expansion of the cooperation between Kosovo and Denmark, particularly in the field of economic development. She said that the help and support of Denmark is important in the field of Euro-Atlantic integrations of Kosovo, as well as of the whole South-Eastern Europe.
President Jahjaga said that the Feasibility Study report has opened a new chapter in relations between Kosovo and EU, She also stated that institutions of Kosovo will fulfil on time all the short term obligations and that it is important that Kosovo starts the Stabilisation-Association Agreement as soon as possible.
President Jahjaga said that the dialogue, facilitated by EU, between the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia is the only way towards the normalisation of relations between the two states and emphasized the necessity of implementation of all the agreements reached through this process.
Minister Nicolai Wamman emphasized that the relations between Denmark and Kosovo are excellent and that his country supports all the processes that Kosovo is going through.
He said that intensification of reforms is important and stated that the European perspective for all the countries of the South-Eastern Europe, inclusive of Kosovo, is very clear. Minister Wamman gave his support to the ongoing dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia as this will help towards the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
