The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, received today the Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of the Local Government, Slobodan Petrovic, who informed her about the progress in the implementation of the decentralization process in Kosovo.
Mr. Petrovic described the process of decentralization as important and said that the agenda of the implementation of this process in the north of the country and establishing a democratic system of governance is a priority of his work. He informed President Jahjaga with the work of the Municipal Preparatory Team and about the consultations held with community representatives in the north of Mitrovica.
President Jahjaga praised the work of the Ministry of Local Government and offered her support within the constitutional and legal responsibilities for the implementation of the decentralization process.
