President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga received at a meeting today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of republic of Croatia, Mrs Vesna Pusić, who is visiting Kosovo, by invitation from President Jahjaga, to participate at the International Women’s Summit that is being held in Prishtina.
President Jahjaga expressed her condolences, and condolences of the people of Kosovo on the occasion of death of the Speaker of the Parliament of Croatia; President Jahjaga held in high esteem the contribution of the late Speaker in advancements of Croatia and in the development of friendly relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Croatia.
President Jahjaga thanked Minister Pusic for the help and support that the Republic of Croatia provides to the Republic of Kosovo, both in its internal plan as well as externally in the international arena and asked for a closer cooperation, particularly in the field of economy. She also stated that bilateral relations must be advanced and that the support of Croatia for the participation and membership of the State of Kosovo in regional, European and International organisations and mechanisms is greatly appreciated
The Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Croatia thanked President of the Republic of Kosovo for the invitation and for her contribution to the advancement and strengthening of the position of women. She also said that relations between Croatia and Kosovo are very good and are continuously advancing in the interest of cooperation, peace and stability in the region.
President Jahjaga and Croatian Foreign Minister Pusic, after the meeting participated at the manifestation organised by the women of Kosovo on the honour of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
