The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today a delegation of the University of Prishtina, led by the Rector of the University dr. Mujë Rugova. The Rector of the University, Dr. Mujë Rugova, congratulated the President on her election as head of the country. He said that the University of Prishtina is working to provide greater and better opportunities for all its students.
President Jahjaga thanked the delegation of the UP and expressed her continued support for the work of the professors and students. She said that the University of Prishtina for several decades of its existence has functioned as a center of academic education and scientific research, as well as school and institution of resistance and survival of the people of Kosovo.
President Jahjaga said that the University continues to have a special significance in the overall development of Kosovo. She said investment in education, in accordance with the needs of the economy and society, and the special care for the exact sciences, will help this development.
