President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today at a joint meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Sylë Hoxha, Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Mr. Enver Peci, Director of the Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni and Deputy Director of Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Mr. Muharrem Ajeti, in order to discuss the actual developments in the country after the last meeting of the UN Security Council and prior to the forthcoming UN General Assembly Meeting.
Praising the work of these institutions and mechanisms, as well as their contribution, President Jahjaga pointed out as necessary the need for further harmonisation of the institutions mandated with protection of law and order in the whole territory of the republic of Kosovo, continuous implementation of the agreements with Republic of Serbia, facilitated by European Union and acceleration of the reforms related to achievement of predetermined standards for integrative processes of Kosovo and visa liberalisation.
