On the occasion of the 12th June, the Day of Freedom of the Republic of Kosovo, President Jahjaga took the decision to decorate a number of national and international personalities.
The decision for decoration was made pursuant to article 84 Item 28 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, article 6 and 9 of the Law on the Awarding of Decorations by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, pursuant to the Regulation on the Types of Decorations given by the President Republic of Kosovo and the Procedures for Their Award, as well as based on the report of the Evaluation Commission for the award of decorations.
The decorations were given to these personalities:
1. Xhevat Ahmet Berisha, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
2. Hakif Zejnullahu, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
3. Edmond Hoxha, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
4. Agron Rama, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
5. Mehë Ramë Uka, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
6. Rrahim Samiu-ZOGU, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
7. Shemsi Ahmeti, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
8. Shefko Salkoviq, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
9. Ismet Asllani, is decorated with the award THE ORDER HERO OF KOSOVO, for acts of sacrifice and courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo;
10. Mullah Idriz Gjilani, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
11. Father Luigj Palaj, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
12. Father Shtjefen Gjeçovi, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
13. Shkumbin Terpeza, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
14. Ali Bajraktari, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
15. Shemso Ferri, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
16. Shyhrete Berisha, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
17. Ylfete Humolli, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo;
18. Vjollca Berisha, is decorated with the award THE ORDER OF FREEDOM, for the high contribution for the freedom of Kosovo.
19. Sale Jashari, is decorated with the award THE ORDER FREEDOM FIGHTER “ADEM JASHARI”, for bravery in the fight for freedom;
20. Nekibe Kelmendi, is decorated with the award THE ORDER FOR PEACE, DEMOCRACY AND HUMANISM “DR. IBRAHIM RUGOVA”, for the lifetime work as a special contribution for peace building, the development of democracy, and the cultivation of humanity;
21. Viktor Meier, is decorated with the award THE ORDER FOR PEACE, DEMOCRACY AND HUMANISM “DR. IBRAHIM RUGOVA”, for the lifetime work as a special contribution for peace building, the development of democracy, and the cultivation of humanity;
22. Sehadete Mekuli, is decorated with the award HUMANITARIAN MEDAL “Mother Theresa” for the contributing given to humanitarian causes;
23. Flora Brovina, is decorated with the award HUMANITARI AN MEDAL “Mother Theresa” for the contributing given to humanitarian causes;
24. Nurije Zekaj, is decorated with the award THE MEDAL FOR PEACE AND RECONCILIATION “Anton Çetta”, for the contributing given for peace and reconciliation between people;
25. Drita Begraca, is decorated with the award THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF MERITS for the contributing given in the field of education;
26. Walter Happer, is decorated with the award THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF MERITS for the contributing given in the field of education;
27. Safete Rugova, is decorated with the award THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF MERITS for the contributing given in the field of education;
28. Katarina Josipi, is decorated with the award THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF MERITS for the contributing given in the field of art;
29. Melihate Ajeti, is decorated with the award THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF MERITS for the contributing given in the field of art;
30. Nadira Avdiq Vllasi, is decorated with the award THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF MERITS for the contributing given in the field of education and culture.
