Prishtina, October 22nd 2018 – President of the country, Hashim Thaçi, received today the team of the Kosovo Security Force which attended the “Cambrian Patrol” exercise in United Kingdom, returning with the bronze medal.
President Thaçi thanked Commander Rrahman Rama and the Kosovo Security Force team for the excellent work they are carrying out, by becoming a good example for the whole region.
“General and his team, with these officers and soldiers of the Kosovo Security Force, are the best example and the best message being conveyed, stating that KSF is ready for additional responsibilities. It is ready to respond to newly created conditions and situations. I congratulate the officers, lieutenants, KSF soldiers and the Commander for their excellent work and for their new success, excellent one, achieved few days ago in United Kingdom, in attendance of 144 teams”, said President Thaçi.
Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Rrahman Rama, said that this is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world and that Kosovo Security Force is attending for the second time.
“It is very important that we are transferring these experiences within our institutions. Last year we organised a similar competition, called “The Patrolling Eagle”. The idea was that we carry out an internal test, aiming to convert it to an international one next year, and include the experiences we have gained in the United Kingdom”, said Commander Rama.
Kosovo Security Force Commander said that they are ready to take on additional experiences and will continue with the carrying of obligations and tasks prescribed to them by the Constitution and the law.
“Cambrian Patrol” exercise is an annual exercise run by the 160th Infantry Brigade, Wales Seat from Brecon in United Kingdom.
Kosovo Security Force participated with 11 members at this international exercise and irrespective of difficulties caused by Callum storm, managed to with the bronze medal.
