The U.K. Ambassador in Kosovo, Ian Cliff, has congratulated the President on her election and said that his country will continue its support for Kosovo in all fields. The British Ambassador said that the clear European perspective for Kosovo and its advancement is of particular importance, along with other regional countries towards EU membership. He said that the dialogue with Belgrade is important and that the solution of practical problems is vital.
President Jahjaga thanked the British ambassador for the support that the UK has provided and continues to give Kosovo, considering it as important, given that Kosovo needs a clear European agenda.
The President said that Kosovo should establish a contractual relationship with the EU in order to clarify its future. She said that Kosovo is paying attention to the relations with neighboring countries in particular relations with Serbia, especially the dialogue that is taking place in Brussels with European Union relief. The President said that the dialogue will succeed, because the parties will only find European solutions that are in the interest of both people and both countries.
