The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, in a letter sent on June 22, has congratulated the UN Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki Moon, on the occasion of his reelection on this post for another mandate.

In the congratulatory letter it is said:
Your Excellency,
On the occasion of your re-election by the General Assembly of the UN as Secretary General of the UN, on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens, and on my personal behalf, I would like to express our congratulations to Your Excellency and to the United Nations.
Your re-election demonstrates the success of the leadership and dedication of Your Excellency for a more secure and prosperous world. The Republic of Kosovo appreciates the role that the United Nations have played in Kosovo in promoting peace, democracy and institution building.
The Republic of Kosovo will continue to strengthen the democratic functioning of its institutions and to contribute to peace, stability and prosperity in the Balkans.
