Pacolli: Projects that have a direct impact on peoples’ lives must be implemented in Kosovo

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli had a meeting today with the World Bank Country Director and Regional Coordinator for Southeast Europe Ms. Jane Armitage and the World Bank Representative in Kosovo Mr. Ranjit Nayak.

President Pacolli thanked the World Bank – member of which Kosovo is – for an immense assistance that World Bank had provided and continued to provide to the state of Kosovo.

“Difficulties in Kosovo are evident. Our society needs assistance in every respect; it needs your advice at all times”, President Pacolli said at the meeting.

He explained that precedence in the future should be given to implementable projects that have a direct impact on the lives of the people of Kosovo.

On her part, the World Bank Country Director and Regional Coordinator for Southeast Europe Ms. Jane Armitage detailed projects through which the World Bank had assisted the countries of the South-East Europe, with a special emphasis on projects implemented in the Republic of Kosovo.

She emphasised that, in coordination with institutions of our country, assistance would be provided in the future as well, in terms of implementing projects in behalf of the people of our country.
