The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has taken today a decision on appointing Mr. Blerim Ibrahimi as member of the Central Election Commission (CEC), in the capacity of Representative of the RAE Community, from the political subject Democratic Ashkali Party of Kosovo.
Mr. Ibrahimi swore in today in front of the President of the Republic.
The decision on his appointment is taken based on Article 139, paragraph 4 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, in Section 61, Article 62 of the Law on General Elections of the Republic of Kosovo, considering the agreement reached between the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian deputies (RAE), dated April 22, 2011, and the proposal from the Democratic Ashkali Party of Kosovo.
