President Jahjaga met with the Foreign Minister of Ghana, Ms. Hanna Serwaa Tetteh

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met the Foreign Minister of Ghana, Ms. Hanna Serwaa Tetteh.

President Jahjaga and Minister Tetteh discussed the processes which Kosovo is going through and its international consolidation. President Jahjaga informed Minister Tetteh with the achievements of Kosovo and its role as a factor of stability in the region. She stated that Kosovo aims membership in international organisations, especially in the UN and classified Ghana’s help with new recognitions in the African continent as important.

President Jahjaga asked Ms, Tetteh, an opportunity to pass a resolution at the forthcoming meeting of the heads of states of the African Union, being held in January 2015, which would request Kosovo’s recognition.

Ghanaian Foreign Minister praised the achievements of Kosovo and pointed out the advances in the process of normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. She stated that her country highly praises the developments in Kosovo and expressed the readiness to, in cooperation with the institutions of Kosovo, help in drafting of and processing of the resolution at the African Union meeting.
