President Jahjaga met with the Foreign Minister of Botswana, Mr. Phandu Skelemani

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today with the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Botswana, Mr. Phandu Skelemani

President Jahjaga and Minister Skelemani discussed the processes which Kosovo is going through, its international consolidation and recognition from Botswana. President Jahjaga informed Minister Skelemani with Kosovo’s achievements and its role as a factor of stability in the region and promoter of good neighbourliness. She also said that Kosovo aims membership in international institutions, especially in the UN, and classed as important the recognition of Kosovo’s independence by Botswana.

Foreign Minister of Botswana praised the achievements in Kosovo and pointed out the progress achieved in the process of normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. He also said that his country values as positive the developments in Kosovo, which pave the way to the possibility for reviewing of recognition by his country.
