President Jahjaga congratulates President Obama

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga congratulated Mr. Barack Obama, on the ocassion of his reelection as the President of the United States of America.

The congratulatory letter says:

On behalf of the people of the Republic of Kosovo and my personal behalf please allow me to convey my congratulations for your reelection as the President of the United States of America. We also congratulate the American people for the determination to realize their right to vote and participate in the strengthening of the democracy and ideals that distinguish your country. The US Presidential elections are an inspiration to all of us that work for the creation of inclusive, prosperous societies and the establishment of a meaningful democracy.

This is the best evidence that attests the trust that the American people have in your vision and your tireless work to lead the reforms in the United States and to strengthen the peace and stability in the world by promoting the American values that guarantee a safer future.

The Republic of Kosovo is a committed ally and a partner of the United States of America and we will continue to strongly engage in deepening the friendship and cooperation between our two countries and peoples. The United States of America has played the key role for the freedom and the right of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to be the masters of their own fate. We thank the United States under your leadership for playing an extraordinary role in the state-building process of the Republic of Kosovo, the advancement of the democratic process and our path toward the Euro-Atlantic integration.
