I accepted with great pleasure the invitation to join you at the conclusion of an important project, organized by KUSA, which focuses on empowerment of new generation of leaders of our society through promotion of basic value of democracy, of respect for equal rights for all citizens regardless.

Honourable representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo
Honourable MPs,
Honourable Ambassador Delawie,
Honourable Minister Bajrami,
Ms. Agani, Ms. Hima
Dear KUSA members,
Honourable participants,

I accepted with great pleasure the invitation to join you at the conclusion of an important project, organized by KUSA, which focuses on empowerment of new generation of leaders of our society through promotion of basic value of democracy, of respect for equal rights for all citizens regardless.

Initially, I would like to thank the Embassy of the United States of America, Ambassador Delawie and US State Department, who have for years invested in building professionally trained generations, whose valuable contribution translates into a guarantee for building of a democratic society, an aim which we all pursue.

The most important investment in the future of a country is investment in its youth, in offering of opportunities for education, for fulfillment of ambitions, of their talent and of their dreams.

In opening of the doors for their individual development, as citizens of the future who respect each other, irrespective of gender, ethnic or religious background, and take upon themselves the important mission of development of the society and the state.

Kosovo’s young generations are generations of peace, who are writing the history of understanding, of mutual trust, respect and love for one another.

They are equal citizens of the world; and our resolve in offering them similar developmental opportunities as their peers in developed world must remain decisive, and we must not allow that their future, the future of our society is compromised.

I have welcomed this initiative of yours, dear KUSA members, who have already had the luck to enrich your experience through the professional exchange and academic participation programs in the US, to transfer your experience to the leaders of the future.

It is this vision, that access to education, to professional experience, exchange of development experiences, is an opportunity offered to all girls and boys, in every corner of the country, will guarantee our prosperous future, because it is the aim which we have defined as institutions but also as a society.

Youth is the most valuable asset of Kosovo, and it is the generation and promoter of its development. Therefore, we must remain dedicated to offering to our youth this reality in which the opportunities for advancement turn into a regular norm of our work and where they become an inseparable part of the development of our society.

Dear friends,
Today, you are crowning an important experience of your lives, through protection of a basic principle of democratic societies, upon which we have built our state, the principle of equal rights between all of our citizens.

Speaking about an important issue such as gender equality, you are bringing to light the challenges which we face as a society in guaranteeing of equal rights for girls as well as for boys.

In injustices which we still continue to impose to girls, in offering of less options, limited opportunities and freedom to them in choosing their own path.

There is no doubt that you are paving the road towards a future in which these challenges shall be overcome and where girls access to education and all other fields of life shall be equal and in this job I am uncompromising

You represent the future of our country, and it shall be your duty, particularly of the young girls and boys in this hall, to continue the mission of building of a Kosovo of endless opportunities, as it shall be your mission to build a society of all citizens, regardless.

Do not remain silent in front of injustice, work to change that. Do not allow to be defeated by challenges or barriers, believe in yourself, in abilities and talents which all of you possess. With dedication and hard work you will achieve to make your dreams a reality, because in you and a part of you who I have met in my office I have noticed a great potential and I believe that potential is in every young man and woman of our country.

Congratulations, good luck and success!
