Lama’s (Harvest) Dinner is an age-old traditional event which is this year being held in Gjakova, and which symbolizes the joy of men for the finalization of annual field work, bringing with itself the joy for the yields from our own land.

Lama’s (Harvest) Dinner is an age-old traditional event which is this year being held in Gjakova, and which symbolizes the joy of men for the finalization of annual field work, bringing with itself the joy for the yields from our own land.
On this day we thank God for all the goods given to us, we honour the work and engagements of the farmers, for the qualitative and abundant produce, and we gather around our common table, at which every home presents its best products in order to share them with others.
Lama’s Dinner is a feast of happiness, as the bread for the year ahead has been ensured and at the same time is the feast of abundance of goods provided by nature and a feast of solidarity and joint endeavours of people wanting to help one another.
Let us boost our efforts and engagements to get the best for this land, by cooperating and by finding the best possible way to build responsible, viable and democratic institutions in order to lead the country forward to prosperity, development and wellbeing.
By preserving and nurturing our best traditions we demonstrate wisdom and dignity; let us enliven the ideas of all the generations which aspired a free and democratic Kosovo, in eternal friendship with the United States of America and a member state of European Union.
Let us enjoy the products of our land;
Let us thank God for the goods given to us;
God protect Kosovo, its people and its friends.
