Pristina, December 09 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Director for the Western Balkans of the European External Action Service, Angelina Eichhorst, with whom he discussed about the latest developments in relation to the EU in Kosovo.
President Thaçi expressed his satisfaction that Kosovo and the EU have installed an institutional cooperation and thanked her for the support that the EU has given to the institutions of Kosovo.
“Kosovo is determined for its Euro-Atlantic future”, said President Thaçi.
“NATO and the EU are the only destinations of Kosovo”, he added.
Whereas, Director Eichhorst expressed her satisfaction about the cooperation with Kosovo and the achievements in the important processes, such as the dialogue and the SAA.
President Thaçi also requested from the EU not to let Kosovo remain isolated, and to take the decision to give the green light as soon as possible to the visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo.
It is truly regrettable that due to internal political developments in Kosovo, due to the personal and party ambitions, all the citizens of Kosovo suffer and remain the only isolated Europeans, unable to move freely in their continent”, concluded president Thaçi.
