The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga received the Delegation of the Parliament of the Netherlands

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, received today a delegation of the Parliament of the Netherlands. The Dutch delegation informed the President about the meetings held in the past days to get acquainted with the situation in Kosovo but also in the entire Western Balkan region.

The Dutch delegation members expressed their interest about the flows in Kosovo and about the relations between the countries of the region, particularly between Kosovo and Serbia.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, thanked the representatives of the Parliament of the Netherlands for the help their country has given and continues to give Kosovo in various fields.

She said that the future of Kosovo is in the EU and raised the need of the contractual agreement with the European Union to push forward the comprehensive reforms in the country.

President Jahjaga said that Kosovo is committed to walk towards the path of Euro-Atlantic integration and emphasized the necessity of opening the dialogue on visa liberalization with the EU.

President Jahjaga said that the process of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should serve both countries in the construction of good neighborly relations as two equal states. She said that all solutions should be in accordance with the European standards and practices and that any kind of solution that does not comply with the Acquis Communitaire will not be accepted.
