The Acting President of Kosovo Dr. Jakup Krasniqi received today the EU Special Representative in Kosovo, Mr. Pieter Feith, who congratulated President Krasniqi for managing the created situation properly and assured him of ICO’s unwavering support.
During the meeting, the Acting President of Kosovo M. Krasniqi and Mr. Feith discussed dissolution of Assembly of Kosovo and a potential date for forthcoming elections.
Mr. Krasniqi thanked Mr. Feith for his support and said he will proceed with consulting representatives of political parties and other stakeholders, including the international community, on setting a potential date for elections.
During the conversation, both parties consulted with each other about the privatization of the PTK, the duties of the Central Election Commission and Mr. Krasniqi’s mandate, which will expire on 28 March 2010.
The Acting President of Kosovo Jakup Krasniqi and Mr. Pieter Feith agreed to meet on regular basis throughout Mr. Krasniqi’s term of office as Acting President.
