Thaçi requests the recognition from Brazil, Argentina and Slovakia

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has continued the meetings with presidents and national leaders during his stay in Rio, Brazil.

President Thaçi has met the Vice President of Brazil, Michel Temer, whom he thanked for the warm reception of the representatives of Kosovo in Brazil.

In a meeting with Vice President Michel Temer, President Thaçi requested to maintain the contacts between the two countries and to build cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.

During his stay in Rio, President Thaçi has also met the President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri.

With his Argentinean counterpart, President Thaçi has also discussed about the possibility of deepening interstate cooperation, requesting to find forms of cooperation between the two countries.

In Brazil, President Thaçi also met with the President of Slovakia, Andrej Kiska.

He has said that Slovakia supports the European future of the entire Western Balkans.

President Thaçi has invited all the representatives of these countries to join the 112 countries of the world which have already recognized Kosovo’s independence.

Earlier, President Thaçi has also met with the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, the French President, François Hollande and the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi.
