The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga released a statement on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the United States of America, on September 11, 2001.
In the statement it is said:
Ten years after the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, which shocked the civilized world, it is very clear to all progressive forces around the globe, that terrorism is the greatest and the most serious danger of human society today and nobody can ignore or remain indifferent to this threat.
The United States of America, its leadership and citizens, as always in history, defeated this big tragedy, showing their strength and greatness. By fighting terrorism, as a very great evil and a permanent danger to the world, they showed that the future of humanity is democracy and progress.
In this painful tenth annual for all American citizens, we express the largest solidarity with the families of the victims. The hideous attack of 11 September should serve as a permanent reminder to all mankind that such a thing must not be allowed to happen again.
The institutions and citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, perceiving in every step the continuous support and assistance of USA, are committed to a human society where there will never be place for terrorism and the taking of innocent lives and are unwavering to work vigorously for a better world.
