Prince Michael: We in Britain hold Kosovo in great affection

“Our visit to Kosovo is a moment of great pride. It enables us to see what we can bring from Britain in terms of investment into this country”, His Highness Prince Michael said following a meeting with the President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu.

“Of course – the Prince added – we in Britain hold Kosovo in great affection, as it has been witnessed by the close involvement we have had with your country in recent years.”

He thanked President Sejdiu for allowing an opportunity to get in at the beginning of what Prince Michael said will be a very exciting combination of thinking and planning for both Kosovo and Great Britain.

On the other hand, having said that it was his pleasure to receive and talk to Prince Michael from the United Kingdom, President Sejdiu said that they have shared common views about a further progress and support that will be provided to Kosovo.

“With Prince Michael we agreed about the further progress and support that will be provided to Kosovo. I want to thank the Prince for the strong support that the United Kingdom has provided to Kosovo and for its commitment to ensuring that Kosovo sees a fast development and offers prospects to all its people”, President Sejdiu asserted.

Having emphasized that Kosovo is a place of big opportunities, in spite of difficult times that it has gone through, owing to copious resources that God had bequeathed to her, President Sejdiu thanked the Prince for his initiative to stay close to Kosovo with a large team of knowledgeable and seasoned economists and businesspersons.

Furthermore, President Sejdiu said he acknowledges the position that His Highness Prince Michael has maintained in his engagement in pressing friend countries and acquaintances into increasing the number of new recognitions of Kosovo.

Having said that it was his pleasure to have the senior delegation in Kosovo at a very important time and year, the UK Ambassador Mr. Andy Sparks said the visit demonstrates how much Britain cares about Kosovo and how much opportunity they see looking ahead for partnership between the two countries.
