The Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Mr.Sali Berisha has sent a letter of congratulation to the new President of Kosovo Mr. Behgjet Pacolli on his election and new assignment.
The letter reads:
Honourable Mr. President,
Your election as President of Kosovo offers me the special pleasure of extending to you, on my personal behalf and on behalf of the Government of Albania, my heartiest regards and best and friendly wishes for success in the important mission ahead.
Republic of Kosovo and its people have made great historic achievements during this period and I rest confident that, as President of the youngest European country, You will provide a new contribution to the further consolidation of these achievements and to making Kosovo an even more important factor of peace and stability and promoter of friendship and cooperation in the region.
I avail myself of this opportunity to assure you that the Albanian Government and I personally remain fully committed to establishing and building the most excellent and brotherly relations and to rendering the close and wide-ranging cooperation between our two countries into a most meaningful example of cooperation at the service of strengthening peace, of promoting friendship, of fostering welfare of the Albanian nation and all the people of the region alike and of moving towards our joint Euro-Atlantic integration.
