President Thaçi tomorrow participates at the canonization ceremony of Mother Teresa in the Vatican

Prishtina, September 3 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has traveled today to the Holy See in the Vatican, where he will participate at the canonization ceremony of Mother Teresa.

In honor of the Albanian humanist, tonight at the Holy See the concert “Anthem of Mother Teresa” will be held, which will be attended by world renowned artists.

Among the renowned soloists who will perform at this concert are also two Albanian artists, Rita Ora and Inva Mula. Whereas, the Albanian footballer, Lorik Cana, will recite the poetry of “Mother Theresa”.

The canonization ceremony of Mother Teresa will be held tomorrow and part of it will be about 100 thousand believers, and leaders and many personalities of the world.

After the canonization ceremony, President Thaçi in the evening will also be present at the reception organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Rome.

Decorated with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, Mother Teresa was beatified by Pope John Paul in 2003, after that the Holy See had accepted that thanks to her supernatural intervention, Mother Teresa had cured an Indian woman.

On December 17, 2015, Pope Francis acknowledged the second miracle of Mother Teresa as well, namely the extraordinary healing of a young Brazilian, which occurred on December 9, 2008.

The recognition of the second miracle of the Holy See opened the way to the canonization of the Albanian humanist.
